Artificial Intelligence Research and Applications (AIra) embraces a broad scope, covering diverse areas of artificial intelligence. We welcome original research, review articles, case studies, and technical reports that explore theoretical advancements, algorithmic developments, and practical AI applications across various domains. Peer Review Process

Each manuscript submitted to AIra undergoes a blind peer review by at least two reviewers within a four-week timeframe.

Initially, all submissions are subject to a similarity check. The manuscript is immediately rejected without review if the similarity index exceeds 20%. However, if the similarity level remains below 20%, the editor assigns at least three reviewers to evaluate the manuscript. Once reviewer reports are received, the paper is accepted if no revisions are suggested. If modifications are required, the authors must revise their manuscript according to the reviewers’ comments, highlight the changes, and submit it alongside a response letter. Based on the reviewers ' assessments, the editor and associate editors determine the final decision—acceptance or rejection. A minimum of two positive recommendations is necessary for acceptance.

Authors receive an official notification regarding the acceptance or rejection of their paper, along with reviewer feedback. Accepted articles are published following the queue of approved papers. AIra is committed to providing open access to all published content, ensuring free availability to support the widespread dissemination of knowledge. Furthermore, the journal’s ethical standards align with the Code of Conduct and Best-Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE, 2011).

 

Ethics in Research & Publication

AIra maintains strict ethical publishing standards. Authors must comply with national and international ethical guidelines. The journal follows the principles set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Artificial Intelligence Research and Applications Journal Editors. Given the innovative nature of smart grid research, adherence to ethical standards is critical, particularly for unpublished methodologies and algorithms.

 Authors submitting to AIra must ensure their work is original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere. Submissions must follow the journal’s formatting requirements. Authors must:

  1. Maintain Integrity – Ensure that findings and data are accurate and honestly presented. Misrepresentation is strictly forbidden.
  2. Provide Proper Attribution – Acknowledge all sources and appropriately cite references.
  3. Disclose Conflicts of Interest – Declare financial, professional, or personal affiliations that may influence their work.
  4. Avoid Duplicate Submission – Do not submit the same study to multiple journals simultaneously.
  5. Use Culturally Sensitive Language – Avoid discriminatory, offensive, or biased statements.
  6. Protect Privacy – Maintain confidentiality of personal data.
  7. Prevent Plagiarism – Ensure all content is original and properly cited.
  8. Follow Ethical Research Standards – Adhere to ethical guidelines, especially when involving human or animal subjects.
  9. Respect Human Rights – Promote fairness, justice, and dignity.
  10. Report Hazards – Clearly disclose any potential risks associated with the study.
  11. Provide Data When Requested – Be prepared to share raw data upon request.

 Duties of the Publisher

 AIra ensures editorial independence from commercial interests. Revenue sources such as advertisements or reprint sales do not influence editorial decisions. The journal collaborates with other publishers and industry bodies to uphold ethical publishing standards.

Rights and Responsibilities

 AIra requests copyright transfers from authors to properly manage online publishing rights while still allowing them to retain significant scholarly rights. This helps maintain the integrity and accessibility of academic research.
